- Reviewed in the United States on February 17, 2024In a world where screens often dominate our attention and time, 'Learn How to Draw - Fun & Easy: 1007 Drawings to Sketch in 5 Minutes or Less' has been a delightful excuse to unplug and dive into the simple joy of doodling. I picked up this book with the intention of keeping a doodle book for myself, seeking a creative outlet that would not only give me a break from the digital world but also serve as a fun exercise to keep my brain active. And honestly, it's been a game changer.
The book promises a vast array of drawings that can be sketched in five minutes or less, and it delivers on that promise spectacularly. The simplicity of the instructions and the sheer variety of what you can create are both impressive and inspiring. From animals and plants to everyday objects and abstract designs, there's enough variety to keep you engaged and drawing for days on end.
What I love most about this book is its underlying message: the best way to keep your brain young and active isn't found in a supplement bottle; it's in using it. Sketching, even in short bursts, is not just a creative exercise but a mental one as well, challenging you to visualize, plan, and execute in ways that are both fun and beneficial.
'Learn How to Draw - Fun & Easy' is more than just a drawing book; it's a gentle reminder of the joys of creativity and the benefits of stepping away from our digital lives. Whether you're someone looking to rediscover the pleasure of drawing or simply searching for a new way to relax and stimulate your mind, this book is a fantastic pick. It's a reminder that sometimes, the best things in life are those we create ourselves, one doodle at a time."
This review captures the personal experience with the book, emphasizing its benefits for creativity, brain activity, and digital detox.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 19, 2022I had a great experience with this book. As someone who is not an artist at all, and would usually be miserable drawing, I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun it was to spend some time doing the drawings in the book! The step-by-step process for each drawing made it very easy for me to understand and follow along.
The variety of drawing subjects available was also quite impressive. There were beginner through advanced options. Plus, it provided enough content that people could even use it as a jumping off point for designing cards or other projects.
I found myself learning a lot about technique and shading as I went through the different topics in the book. It gave me enough skill building exercises that I felt my skills increasing with each page I completed. There was a useful section that gave you a tutorial on the types of lines and shapes you would need to use.
The book offers good value for money and is worth every penny spent on it. I would highly recommend this book as a fun way to draw and express your creativity, or even as a classroom tool to facilitate projects or brain breaks.
With some practice, this book can be used functionally due to its thoroughness and breadth of content. Overall, I am incredibly pleased with my purchase.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 9, 2023The book does a great job of capturing the basic elements to draw things. From simple shapes and household objects to plants, animals and rudimentary people, there’s something for everyone.
Unlike some books, it doesn’t really go into the specifics of theories or really granular step-by-steps. That allows this it to show so many options for each category and enable the drawer to choose subjects they’re most interested in drawing across many categories.
The author does a great job of teaching basics that you can apply across any of the books’ 10 categories or use to capture your own ideas. So whether you’re wanting to draw one animal or compose a full scene of objects, plants, and animals; this book can help get you started on the process of learning to draw! It’s really simple to get started and the author does a fantastic job of dividing the drawing objects into 3 difficulty levels so you can always take more time on any level or type of item you might be interested in!
This book is a great choice for beginners as well as people who already know the steps to basic drawing. It’s great for the new or hobbyist artist looking to gain some new skills for their works and free time!

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy and Comprehensive!
I loved drawing along with this book. I found that it’s comprehensive and for all ages. There is no language skill needed for this book, so I think it’s great for an international market. The drawings are detailed, but shown in such simplistic instruction that anybody could learn to draw these! Overall, this book is a fun and amazing tool to learn how to doodle and draw. It’s definitely a fun book to keep around if you have any friends or kids over and you’d like to doodle with them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great starter book for a budding sketcher
It was a gift to a teenager who shows some promise as a sketcher. My attempt to get him to broaden his skills through sketching a wider variety of things. This book seemed to give the best variety and is easy to follow.
